I sometimes get some questions from new members who need a bit of help. Sometimes I even see people who say they never post because they aren't sure how! Which is such a shame!
So, I hope to answer some frequently asked questions here. If you have a question you think should go here, please let me know!
Just as a note, to keep down clutter, I will delete replies that are here after I have addressed them (unless it's a well-written answer to something).

Help!Where is the Porn?It's hidden. Sorry. Having the porn where guests can see it makes it a bit harder to cover my ass. I could easily be blamed for allowing minors to view it or could lose ads or even the hosting service itself for having porn! Seeing as I'm just a single poor college student and not a large organization, I'd rather avoid legal trouble. Plus, it encourages people to join our community! But making people register it cuts down on the number of people who will accidentally stumble by it.
OK, I joined...I still can't see it. You must have a certain (low) number of posts to view it. Once again, sorry, but it works well this way. The number of members vs members who post a lot is downright depressing. Plus, our authors/artists work very hard and it can be disheartening to see that 100 people have read your story/seen your artwork and only 3 have commented.
Sometimes that first ice-breaking post is the hardest to make. I like to think that if you've got the motivation to make a few posts then you'll get comfortable with how the forum works and the people in it, and then be inclined to keep posting, even after you can see the porn.
And, once again, this keeps trolls and other trouble out of the porn section a bit better.
How Do I Post?First, find out where you'd like to post! Click on any of the boards, for example, Remus and Sirius Slash (that IS why you're here, right?) Now you'll see a nice big list of all the stories people have posted, click on any of them!
Now that you've read it, you can click (above the first post or under the last) a little button that says "Reply" That takes you to a box where you can type your reply (no need to modify the subject box, if you are replying it should be already filled in with Re: Thread Title
After you type your reply you can click on "Post" under the box to post the reply, or "Preview" to make sure it looks good.
To post a new thread, go to where the big list of them is and click "New Topic". Then fill in the subject with your title (this one is Newbie Help FAQ) and then type your message in the box and hit "Post"!
How Do I Show my House Pride in my Signature?As you browse the forum you may notice a lot of people display their Hogwarts House with one of the following:
These are actually just smilies (you can see them if you hit "more" next to the heart above the message box when you post).
To add one to your signature go to "Profile" it's right below the news on the red bar, written in yellow. Then you can click "Forum Profile Information" from the menu box on the left. Scroll down and you'll see a place to type your signature!
To add your house use a letter, s, g, r, or h (if you can't figure out which house they stand for, go away) between two colons. So, it will look like this if you're a Gryffindor:

And so on. Then hit the button "Change Profile" Now you've got a little house crest in your signature!
